The main PISSOURI VILLAGE is located about 3 kilometers from the sea on the Cape Aspro ridge, and about 500 feet above sea level (152 meters). Pissouri is the third largest village district in the Limassol district of Cyprus, and is located just off the A6 motorway midway between Limassol and Paphos (34 kilometers from each) in the Southwest of Cyprus. It is the administrative centre for the Pissouri District, and boasts a village square, 2 petrol stations, police station, post office, supermarkets, a bank, and two clinics. There are many charming tavernas and coffee shops, and also entertainment facilities, a magnificent Gothic church, and several chapels. The village is home to the majority of the friendly Cypriot population of Pissouri, but also has a large ex-patriot population.
Pissouri Bay is just a few minutes by car from its sister village of Pissouri and is one of the quieter Cypriot beach resorts. The mile-long beach is framed by white cliffs, and leads into beautiful clear waters, ideal for watersports in the summer. There are local shops, traditional tavernas, a great variety of restaurants and some first class bars, all within a hundred metres or so of the sea.
